Anyone tried astro photography through one of these?
What mount system is used for an SLR?

Thanks

I've been having thoughts recently about dabbling in astrophotography as well, though it's looking likely that it will be put off for a while.

Try these sites for some advice as there's probably someone there who has tried with a similar set-up.

Hi ken, had a mad fit and bought the Explorer 250 with the heavy mounts and GOTO system, full set of eye pieces and filters and some digiscoping bits thrown in as well.
Found the local shop VERY helpful, they will even set the scope up for me and give me a demo of how it all works, will even put the software in my laptop if needed.
And all for a fantastic price!!!!
